Hmm so if I have to put that washer in, how can I do it with the whole assembly still on the car. I really don't want to take it apart after all that work. I figure that washer is just there to prevent stripping of the threads? Since the amount you turn down that nut can vary (you can have it down more or higher without any problem right - meaning the part that is sticking up above the nut can vary). Any suggestions?
