Hey man, do it right. Take out the whole strut assembly, take the nut off (Once it gets to the final few threads point it towards the ground while unscrewing cause the spring will 'shoot' off. Then put your washer on, and put the nut back on. Then re-install. Best thing you can do is do it right. The washer is there for one reason or another....know what I mean?
