i found a junkyard that's selling a wrecked eclipse and am looking for an evolution motor w/ tranny if possible to rebuilt it. i know someone has to have it. THANKS!!

Evolution doesn't use a MIVEC 4g92...

MIVEC engines were never available in the states. You'll probably have to see if you can get one from some company that imports JDM motors.
i believe the 4g92 is a 1.8L MIVEC motor. it came in the base FTO if i remember correctly, but the HP/Tq ratings on it weren't spectacular.
The FTO also came with a 2L V6 MIVEC motor that made something around 200HP. If you're feeling lucky, give that one a try
