I am having 2.5" Mandrel Bent downpipes made for the 2gnt cars with a Hahnracecraft turbo kit on them. They are going to be race quality. They will be a direct bolt on. They will be done next Tuesday as my car is being having the prototype built and tested now. They will be made of high quality aluminized steel. I will have pics late next Tuesday and will be shipping them out on Wednesday or Thursday. The more I have made the cheaper as the most expensive is the prototype. So we can do it like a groupbuy. First off I dont think it is too steep for what you are going to be getting. Second the reason they are that price is because I had to pay $1000. to have the prototype made. After that I can buy each one very cheap. You have to relize what these are....they are going to be factory like quality with factory brackets, flex section, o2 housing, and high quality steel,gaskets and flanges. It will be a direct bolt on and have a sloted flange for ez installation at the turbo. I have 3 people who want them already so if I can get 7 or more people the price will be even cheaper. If we get over 10 people the price will drop.

$1000? I was working on a deal to get custom manifolds made...the initial was gonna be $600 and each after that would be $250....I don't see how your downpipe is so much harder than that manifold that you would need $1000 worth of time and material.

Yea seems a bit steep for a downpipe. I had a custom 2.75 in one made for my car cost $220 +25 for a laser cut flange.

LOL.... You don't seem to understand the matierials used and the quality of these downpipes. These are MANDREL BENT ALUMINIZED downpipes with factory like flex section, o2 port and brackets. They are direct bolt ons with gaskets. They are not some junk steel from midas. And if we get enough people to want them I can sell them for around $350-$375. Kooks Custom Headers is making them. These are the real deal. I have 4 people who definitly want them and many inquarys. The more people I get the cheaper they are.

mike, i told you earlier i doubt anyone will be stupid enough to pay 350 for a 2.5 inch dp. you can get a custom one made for 200 at a average muffler shop. im not knocking your idea but i bet if you drop the price down about 250 shipped, youll make some money. you payed 1000 for a dp, i hope you supplied the k-y jelly cuz you just got your asshole ripped out

One more thing widebodied.....is your downpipe Aluminum Coated? is it Mandrel bent? Do you know what that is? Aluminum coated steel will last 5 times longer than just standard mild steel. Mandrel bent pipe is far superior to standard bent pipe.

I'd REALLY like to see pics of this DP actually MOUNTED in the car. There is SO much to avoid in terms of A/C lines, a water pipe, and just the general ability to come straight down off the turbo whilst maintaining 2.5". So please post your pics with this in mind.

By the way, I think all muffler shops use aluminized steel as their metal of choice when making exhausts. The aluminization is no absolutle preventer of rust, but it certainly help so stave it off for a while.

We all need to chill out on the tempers, or there's not going to be a chance for people to post their silly "in before the lock" pictures.
