#114813, "FS: Built Short Block and Cylinder Head" Jun-17-09 10:01 AM by dougie2
I built this motor 7 months ago for my 500 horse street car. It has under 2000 miles on it, runs clean and smooth, and makes incredible power. I've had a GT3076R on it and run it at 33 pounds of boost. Redline is set at 8500. Run with Mobile 1 10w-30 Full Synthetic oil.
Why am I selling? I'm switching to AWD in my race car, which means a 4G63 will be taking it's place. So the race car motor is going in the street car and the street car engine is being sold to fund the new race engine. I really hate to sell this engine.
Here's the specs:
2.0L 1997 Block FelPro Engine Gaskets Federal Main & Rod Bearings ARP Main & Bedplate Studs Eagle H-Beam Rods (current production model) JE Pistons - 0.040 oversize Federal Rings Melling Oil Pump Airtex Water Pump Gates Racing Timing Belt Gates Timing and Idler Pullies FelPro Perma-Torque HG (best out there IMO) Ported & Polished Cylinder Head ARP Head Studs Ferrea Stainless Steel Valves 3-Angle Valve Job Crane Valve Springs Crane Titanium Retainers Crane 0014 Turbo Grind Camshafts (degreed in) SBI Lash Adjusters (lifters) SBI Cam Followers (rockers) AEM Cam Gears Coil Plug wires Intake manifold with stock throttle body Lower intake runners are ported & polished Fuel rail modified for -6 AN
Entire assembled long block shipped directly to the buyer. Engine accessories (A/C, alt, power steering) not included. Valve cover and oil pan with -10AN bung is included. If sensors are a problem, I can probably work those in. Any other questions about what is included please ask or let's get together and work it out to include exactly what you need. I can optionally paint the engine a different color if you'd like.
I'm looking for $3000...
...for an plug and play 500+ HP street engine with stock-like manners (smooth idle, etc.). It cost me $4,000 to build this engine.
Serious inquiries only please.
Is anyone interested??? I'm willing to part out if I have buyers for everything.

interested....how you plan on shipping
The engine will have to be shipped by freight of coarse. I can crate it up one of two ways. I can leave the engine assembled in long block form, and use one large crate on a wooden pallet... or I can remove the cylinder head and ship the block and head in separate small wooden crates that two guys can pick up and move around by hand. Your choice.
I'm also willing to meet or deliver any where around Tennessee. Doug
