commenting on any of this is little more than speculation at best. There are far too many facts that have yet to be determined to make any logical assumptions on the causes or what would have prevented this.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing when the everything returns to status quo and your ass isn't getting shot at anymore. All that can be said about this whole incident now is:

1. The whole situation is fucked up. Thoughts and prayers go to all affected by this

2. Regardless of how school/police may or may not have handled the situation (which much is still unknown) there needs to be a plan for if/when some dick tries this shit again.

3. Students carrying guns on campus will not solve this. Period. I don't care what arguement you may have, its a bad idea.

As said above, if all students were allowed to freely carry on school grounds, some wackjob with a gun wouldn't immediately stand out. Not to mention instead of 1 dude shooting now you got classmates returning fire and that can only lead to collateral damage.

Plus, people will now be so on edge about the slightest movement/loud noise. If you allow them to carry guns, what heappens when you come running in to class late rummaging through your backpack to do something as harmless as turn of your celly, and some kid in your class perceives that sudden burts of movement as you going for a gun??? Bang you're dead.

Far too many college kids, and frankly people of any age in general, are not mature enough to be able to detatch themselves from the situation and make a rational decision on what to do as quickly as it is required in situations like that. Decisions need to be made incredibly quickly without emotional involvement like anger, etc. There is no room for overeacting at a time like that

Hell most college age kids (and many adults)don't react properly and as quickly as they need to for something commonplace like DRIVING, much less in a life or death situation involving a gun. Think of how badly people overeact when cut-off on the highway and go all road-ragey. And this situation would be far more adrenaline producing than a road rage incident. Do you really want someone with a gun and a uncontrollable temper in class next to you? Didn't think so.

The biggest issue in this whole mess imo is how did this wackjob get cleared to own a gun, much less several of them. If that fucker was on meds for being schizo or whatever the hell they are claiming now, there should've been a huge mother fucking flag on his file and that permit should've been denied.

Yes you have a right to bear arms, provided you aren't a felon or are batshiat crazy like this kid was. Someone sowhere dropped the ball on if this guy was sane or not.

Guns don't kill people, it's the crazy fucker with the gun that kills people. Don't let the liberals fool you.

Hill-dog and the rest of the anti-gun people are going to have a fucking field day with this. Sigh.

/Responsible owner of several guns
//Not a wise decision to show up at my house unannounced
///you can have my guns when you pry them from my cold dead hands, etc.
