He shot two people at the dorms, and for some reason it took campus police two hours to report. This gave him enough time to open fire in a different building. Shooting anyone in site. He actually went door to door, trying to find people. Its a campus of 26,000 people, not hard to find 32. I'm suprised he didnt kill more.. About the guns. Sure, they didnt uphold the no firearms policy, but how on earth would it help if everyone had guns? The only thing different, would be more than one person shooting. With good intent, there are still accidents, especially in crowded halls.

it didn't take police 2 hours to respond... get the facts straight. (don't mean to tound mean there).

police responded to the then-considered domestic shooting. During this time the shooter went home, cleaned up, and dressed and prepared to kill with multiple clips and two pistols. he then walked across campus (easily blending in with other students since he was one) and enetred norris hall 2 hours later and chained the doors shut. he then walked down the hallways, shooting, went upstairs shooting, and entered a classroom where he unloaded on the students.

i've had this argument and others on other forums, more guns MAY have saved some lives here, but at the same time if this deeply disturbed individual (with violent history, set dorm on fire, stalked girls, loner, anti-depressants) had been thoroughly checked and denied a firearm, that would've (definitely) saved more lives.

instead we legally put a weapon of mass destruction in this psychos hands.
