#21447, "RE: How much does LSD really affect the handling of our car??" In response to In response to 15
The fun part is that a LSD will allow your car to turn in under throttle. When you enter a corner with an open differential, nailing the throttle will spin the tyre that is easier to spin (the inside one), and push the front end out of the corner. Presto, understeer. With a limited slip, however, nailing the throttle while in a corner will bring the front end around, making it act much more neutral. The suspension will probably still be biased towards understeer, but a limited slip will help keep you from pushing on the corners.
