Wow, those rims look familiar Timing was relatively conservative. At 3700 rpm (where the turbo spools) WOT my timing was 4.5 deg and at 7500 rpm it's at 14 deg - no knock. Also, I am running a 2.3 stroker which helps...
Oh heheh I didn't even notice that. Is your WG dumped? I can hear it open but can't determine if it's loud enough to be dumped.. doesn't seem as loud as mine(not like it matters, just wondering). Hmm maybe we could compare between 2.0 and 2.3 stroker when I get my car tuned a little better and find out why I knock unless I have rediculously low timing. But right now I'm running around 20-21psi(1.4bar WG spring) so up that shiz
Yes, the WG is dumped. It's a Tial 44mm wastegate with a v-band dump tube ~1 ft long. It's louder than you'd think from the video. I was running as high as 24 psi with less timing but I was getting some knock which I chalk up to inconsistant pump gas. I'm still playing with the AEM to get the perfect combo of boost, fuel and timing to maximize power without knock. Once I get there, I'll dyno it again...then it's time for c16. I would be interested to see the difference between our cars... what is your turbo, motor, fuel management setup??
stock 2.0 block, head(except cams), tranny FP3065 Tial 44mm WG dumped ~1 ft. FP 2.5" o2 housing 3" Apexi DP/Catback FP 4" intake Spearco 2-216 IC w/ 2.5" piping FP2 cams FIC 950cc inj. DSMLink V2 and for right now, stock intake and exhaust manifolds .
Of course there's more mods and supporting mods but that's the basics for power. I haven't had it dyno'd, I'll probably wait until I get manifolds, but I'll probably go to the track soon when it gets done being painted(should be a week or so).
