yes those are the apr formula 2 mirrors. and i am going with the 5zigen Hyper 5ZR 3 piece rim or the Racing Hart CR 3 piece rim. thanks for comments, i will have more pics posted once everything starts flowing more. im still molding the front fenders as of now. what color do you guys think i should paint it???? i am undecided on that .... ?

WHY and gods name would i paint a fresh wide body black!? it wouldnt even stand out! i wanna do something bright .... maybe a bright orange with a big flake in it or something. dj just never has anything good to say. i would compliment his car, but since he acts like a such a dumb bitch, i wont. for whoever asks, whats on the headlights ... they are some carbonfiber eyebrows i bought off ebay awhile back. they are kinda goofy looking. dj, if you dont have anything decent to say, move on to another thread damnit. um, kelvin, when did i try making fun of you? i dont recall ... anyhow, any thoughts on colors??


btw, i am selling my headlights. they are the black projector lights w/ clear ion and real carbon eyebrows if anyone is intrested. i will post in wanted/sale section.

ask questions before you talk shit dumbass. where i molded, we did sand to bare metal you fuck up. fiberglass molded to urethane?? wow, there is such things as flexible putty you dumb fuck. its not cracking or coming off, its held in rivets and not just bondo'd one. i mixed fiberglass resin and duraglass which is one of the most strongest fillers out there. its strong as god. you should really ask stuff BEFORE you assume ass plunger. damn!

i have been trying to lay off with djtrickee. i have been telling him to move on if he has no intrest in my thread but he keeps coming back with a bunch of bs. i dont care if ppl keep on going about the hinges, i tried making them and failed, big deal. so what, i tried making them from scratch then tried using a civic hinge, wow. anyway, im done with the negative peeps. i am thinking of the birght orange w/ a crazy flake in it or something like a ice teal color or a nice ruby red or something. i have no idea. someone help me out. pushin ... it doesnt seem to me like your taking sides, your doing good work!!!!! thanks for hosting the pics for me too. i am still undecided on color and rims ... i also found intrest in the axis 7 mod 3 piece rims too. which should i go with!? thanks for all the good comments guys, its slowly coming along good and should look pretty sexy when its done!

oh trust me, its gonna look dead ass sexay when its done for sure. no half assing in this process! now im leaning towards that gold color. maybe that gold with a gold flake or silver flake in it would look sharp ... which wheels guys!! 5zigen hyper 5zr's or axis seven mods in 350z offset to push them out furthur to lay flesh with the panels!? help me!

make sure the filler is nice and level especially if it gets painted black. that will really show the waves in the body work

Good progress. I would personally try to figure something different out with those holes on the side, I would fill them in or something, they just don't look right, and don't go with the car at all, and they don't realyl do anything. Fill um imo.

Lookin good. I've had mine on since April and I'm still not done with it. I've been riding around in primer, but now my engine spun a bearing so I'm in the middle of a rebuild. I've got the gunmetal Konig theory's 18" and they look pretty good on it. I'm also going to paint it HOK candy apple red, it's a darker red than what you would think and it's real deep, should go good with the dark tails, rims, and carbon hood. I'm going to try and get it half way decent before Nopi in atl., you and everybody else should try to go, especially those who can't make the SO.

dont get me wrong, i love black cars, but im not feeling the black theme for my wide body. I want something somewhat bright so it stands out. I found a nice orange i like. I also seen something that might look good too today driving to work, I saw a mazda miata that was like a teelish baby blue looking color, and i liked it! anyone ever seen that color before? btw, i think im going with the hyper opal 5zigen hyper 5zr rims!!!!

hey atleast the widebodies have something in common ... i have a spun rod bearing too and waiting to rebuild after i finish this project up! haha.

I am not a fan of that kit either but the work shows thats all that matters. You might have some problems with the way you did the front in the long run. Too late now. There is a specific bonding agent sold at autobody shops for bonding urethane, that is really the only thig you should use, unfortunately its 35.00 a tube ansd you have to buy the gun to apply it. that and once you open a tube you need to use all of it becasue there is no way to seal it off effectivly so you can reuse it. If and when you have problems you should inquire at a body shop or a supply to fix it right. The fiberglass resin even though mixed will harden more over time, it will continue to cure for a month and a half before fully done. When the bumper flexes enough of if someone bumps you, thats it. That is the reason urethane is desired...its ability to withstand flexing.

The dfarker color you go the more perfect your body work must be. Even the finest of sanding scratches can be seen in black. The RS i bought was repainted and if you know what you are looking for you can see the sanding in the primer to smooth out the additional layers from paint to primer. That and the guy that painted it was obviously an idiot.

The shop i worked at as a mechanic, rented the back out to a body shop so in the slow days i would hang ou back there with the owner and learn how everythign is done. He even tought me the basics of painting on antique coke a cola machines. Good times!

i did use urethane glue for the bumpers. i used all SEM glue that you squeeze through the tubes by the gun. they one tubes i used for the body panels were $24 a tube and the urethane glues where $31 a tube. it was bit pricey. deffinatley not doing a dark color though and the body work will be done perfect. no scratches i gurantee that. its not getting painted until next spring so everything will have its time to sit and harden fully. then after its all up in primer over winter, if anything cracks for some odd reason, i have time to fix it! everything is coming along pretty good except for these dang rear bumper pieces. to tell the truth, i myself was never a fan of this kit either, but i wanted something that not most eclipse's have, alothough there are some out there that have it. now that i have it mostly all on, i love the kit, lol. with the molding on the bumper in the front, when i had my blitz urethane bumper, i had to fill some dings in it from when it was cut or whatever and i used flexible filler and putty made by the same company SEM and it flexed all the time from being so low and i actually rear ended a old lady once and it never cracked out. all the pieces are deff on there good and should never come off ... hopefully ...! im liking all the comments and everything so far guys, thanks! thanks for the confidence too, its not easy doing everything like this by yourself!

um okay now i need an opinion ...
where the two pieces come down the front bumper, i really really dont like the piece it came with to connect the two. it goes up and over the top of the opening of the bumper. i just not really liking the looks of it....
question is, should i deal with it and put it on or make like a lip piece to connect the the two piece across the bottom of the bumper and mold them all together?
any thoughts or other suggestions will be greatly appreciated and helpful!

Leave it off. I'm just going to mold them to the bumper and leave them sticking out kinda like the blitz front bumper, I've never thought about connecting them together with another piece though to make it straight across. You should try that, might look good
