I think the graffix add a unique look to the car. They are done in good taste and distinguish you from the rest. Your car is clean, and with graffix like that it is hard to have a clean look. The second pic jus makes you look like the usual ricer kid with a stock car and a wing. I guess it really depends on how serious you are about modding your car mang. "The chouce is yours!!" <--- In the best captain america voice i can do.

Alright, you know what I think of your grafix...they look cool, but they just aren't Myke's car to me. I like the clean ass red look to your car, but if it were me, I would leave the hood grafix on, I think that looks pimp

LMAO, I didn't even realize the graffix weren't on in the second pic. I was going to say A because I liked the pose better...

Anyway, I think since you like graffix you should get something else. Don't take this wrong, but your graffix kind of look kiddy and not that professional looking.

There is a sweet silver rx7 with some graffix that I doubt I will get but would if it was free. I search all over the net until I found a perfect one.

I dunno, I like either way.

Make ur car stand out. Don't do it b/c everyone likes the other red car. Make it your car, and not just another red 2g with a stillen front imo.

Well I'm mad cuz I don't know what to do. people always tell me that when they see the car it looks better in person than in pics. those that have seen the car in person are like "omg!" but prior to that, in pics they are like "eh, whatever".

History lesson: Graphics were put on, and in that fashion to cover all the flaws of the body/car. My driver door has a nice keymark down to the tailight, starting from the beginning of the door. Wing holes were covered up by the graphics, as well. The graphics take away from all the imperfections and hide it really well. The second I take these graphics off, everything will stand out like a bitch.

I am in the process of contemplating Ebruni side skirts, JUST like the ones in the above stillen pic. My best price to paint/install/repair them? $400. Red is expensive. This makes no sense to me, as you can get the whole fuckin car painted like shit for $250 at MAACO. wtf? $400? Most people are saying $450-500 !!! This is fucking nuts...all for a damn pair of side body panels????!!

This car is too much for me. I am starting to wish I never started modding it. When you do so much to a car...the flaws stick out like madd and the car is ugly. I am starting to not like my car anymore. I have felt this way for a lonnnng time now. It will always be slow, it will always be fucked up in some way. I gotta retint the windows, get new brakes, get a new clutch soon, I can feel it creeping up on me...and my tires are starting to wear down like shit from the ridulous camber issues in the back. Im not too happy.....

so ya...I can take off the graphics...but to what expense and to what concern to have to look at a ugly ass keymark everytime I step into my car...and to see the wing patchholes?

$500 hatch repair for wing holes, including paint and smoothing
$500 side skirts repair/paint/install
$150 retint windows
$??? seats
$??? camber kit
$300 paint mirrors and door handles, wtf
$900 clutch
$150 brakes

$2500 god damn dollars to make it look "decent", and thats not even a complete fuckin paint job, AND to top it all off? Stock motor and basic boltons still stuck with a SLOW ASS car.

What a waste.....

I think I am done. I'm leaving it as is...and just let it fall apart. Fuck it.

I don't really see it as a waste.......but I didn't spend that money either. I like that pretty motherfucker! I've always wondered what the Stillen front end would look like on a silver car. Maybe if I ever see one I can make a decision. Nice work!

dude, what is your paint code? im getting my door handles and mirrors painted along with some other shit real quick from a buddy of mine. i'm sure i will have plenty of paint left over. if you wanted, you could ship me your mirrors, i dont know about the door handles unless you got a spare set from a junkyard or something, cuz you kinda need those. but the mirrors you may be able to do without for a week or so. just an idea to save ya some cash. $300 is alot to pay for getting that done. oh yeah, my paint code is R37.

Myke,
I am not normally a huge fan of graphics, body kits, or wings, but I think that your car has become just that: your car. It is unique and easily distinguished from any others out there. I just think it looks really good. I don't know what you mean about it being a waste of money, I mean, I am going on my third motor and third transmission. I prefer not to think of the expense and just enjoy the drive. If you want your car to be a bit faster, that can be done fairly easily. There are options out there. Keep in mind that the 420a 2.0/2.4 was designed by Mopar to be a turbocharged engine. The onle thing that keep us from being safe with a turbo in the pistons and rods. Now, there are factory internals for the 2.4 that will take a ton of boost. I vote that your car looks great the way it is now, and that blistering speed would make it perfect.

Myke the car looks great man. My choice was the grafix because they are done tastefully and make your car stand out from the crowd even more (in a good way). You can't give up now man...press on.

I voted for the no grafix version because I like clean monochromatic cars. But I do like your grafix on the car a lot compared to others I've seen...yours actually work. If you're contemplating taking them off don't. $2500 just to change your look cause of some guys on here? Hell no, then you'd look just like every other red eclipse on here. Keep your shit cause it's YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides, $2500 is a good turbo kit to solve your slow issues.

I didnt vote cause i really dont like 1 other than the other. And myke, about you seeing the imperfections in your car....everyone see's them more in thier own car. My god, you should see mine. I got a big as spiderweb, big scratch on my hood, a fuckin dent that is rusting, etc etc. But when your moving, you really cant see it, lol. Plus when you hear someone whipser to someone else, damn thats a nice car. All those worries go away.

Anyway, no grafix give your car the clean look. just get those handles painted (why the fuckd did mitsu do that anyway? does it really cost them that much more do paint the door handles) and get some skirts.

Grafix give ur car a unique look, driving down the street it can easily be distingushed from another red eclipse. which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your repuatation.

On an off note, i have to disagree with people who always say, "just do what you want, who cares what other people think"

That argument makes no sense. I dont think any of us would be modding our cars if we didnt care what other people think. I dont think we put on bodykits just so WE like it. When you puttin it on, your thinking, damn my friends are gonna love this.
When you get turbo, you dont get it just because you want a faster car. Well you do, but you want a faster car for a reason...to beat other cars and IMPRESS them.
And im sure most of you who use that arguement have posted one time or another "what do you think of this wing". or "how would this look on my car"
imo

Mike, i feel your pain. i don't personally have graphics butif i were you i would keep them because they make your door handles and mirrors blend in.(not to mention covering the holes and scratches). if you left them on, no-one would know or see the imperfections. they would just think WOW look at that pimped out car!

Do what you want to do dude. I could give a shit about what people think, because if I did, I would still have the GS. It's your car, don't worry about asking people for opinions, who don't even have as nice of a car as you.

in complete honesty, I think your car looks better with the graphics now. They have grown on me, and I think your car looks plain without them now.

Mike, your car with the graphics is you. They look awesome, and you've got a badass looking car that really stands out above the rest. Above all that looking good shit I just spewed, just as you said it covers up the imperfections. Hell, I'm debating a dirivitive of your graphics for my car (not gonna mention what, don't want anyone beating me to doing it )

It boils down to this. Some people love graphics on a car, some people don't. Either way, peeps will look at your ride and think, "Nice, but he needs to loose the graphics", or "Sweet car, but it really needs some graphics to complete it". Do what you like and let the haters hate

Myke, I hear ya 110%

Most of you know how my car looked at one time, and how it looks now. It was rather stressful to tell you the truth, trying to keep it in good shape, trying to mod further, and at the same time trying to maintain the damn thing. Then the bastards broke my window and scratched the fuck out of my car. 500 bucks later it was ok again, but by then I decided it wasn't worth it. Then I found my 3-4 month old tires were bald on the insidedue to my screwed camber. Screw it, took the springs off.

Anyway, the point of my ramblings is that I realized it is just a car, just transportation. Who cares what people think, do what you want.

Guys....I must say, I really love this board. I appreciated all of your words of critism, the good and the negative. Thank you all very much from the bottom of my heart, in all seriousness. Thank you so much!

I just get frustrated. I decided to keep the graphics as is. I may or may not get these sideskirts now, as for many undisclosed reasons. But it IS just a car. Thanks again guys, and continue doing what you all do best.

btw:>> the poll results totally surprised me Basically, all of 2gnt just told me my car's graphics don't work for me hahahaha. But you're all right...the car is definitely a topic of discussion, whether u hate it or like it. Daily I get thumbs up from some kid riding his bike, or a girl in a car, or some old man in a minivan...even a few cops once in a blue moon...but then again, I also get a few points and laffs to go with it...it's definitely interesting , nonetheless.

thanks... *spreads 2gnt love, high 5's all around

oh and beleive it or not, there are a few select people who have told me randomly before that i "should not get skirts, as it would make the car look oddly low and weird shaped" go figure. <shrugs></shrugs>

Myke, I didn't realize you had so many imperfections with your car. I would say fuck what everyone else thinks and keep them on there at least to cover up holes and scratches...hell of a lot better than paying all that money for a new paint job.

All you need is a new mod Myke. I was where you're at about a year ago. I gotta get skirts, I need rims,...etc. I sware I said the exact same thing to myself. "I gotta spend XXXX to make it look decent and I STILL have a slow ass car."

I didn't mod or do anything to my car for months. I disappeared from the board and everything. Then one day I came across a good deal on rims and I fell in love with my car all over again. A year ago I was convinced I would sell my car and get something else. Today, I'm days away from ordering my turbo. Just get a nice mod, trust me on this one.

I voted for pic B as well. I prefer the cleaner look. But I also like your grafix. I think they look really good. IMHO the grafix need the skirts added on. I got my mirrors and door handles painted for $150. $300 is way to expensive. Also The painted handles and mirrors made a HUGE difference in the look of my car imo.
