Everyone,
I would like to make a statement regarding where I have been, and everyone's Megasquirt's that they may have ordered.

Firstly, let me say that I should have made this stateement a long time ago, and avoiding the issue was not the right thing to do, I caan see that now.

Anywya, first of all I would like to say that I have not, nor do I intend to rip anyone off, regarding anything they may have ordered from me. All orders are being filled, mostly in the order in which they were palced, however this is happening much slower than I would like, or anticipated.

When I started building Megasquirt's for people, at about the same time I lost my job. This put me in the unfortunate position of having a family, trying to start a business, and having mounting bills. Ths side effect of this was that money was used to pay my bills that shouldn't have been. this is not something I am happy about, nor is it something that I anticipated.

Right now I have a number of MS's that are being built, and they will be sent out in due course, although they will not fill everyones orders. Driggs for one can vouch for the fact that he recieved his MS recently, aand he had been waiting patiently for more than anyone.

I'm not trying to make excuses, but when I moved near the end of april, I lost high speed net access, and the phone lines are so bad here I can only just connect sometimes at 28.8k on dial up, and gmail does not like this slow connection... I havent been able to check my email since I moved, which is why some people may have thought I was simply ignoring them.

Continued -

I would like to sya thank you for being patient to those that have been up to this point. For those that are patient no longer, I cannot say I blame you. I would not have been happy in your shoes either.

To make things worse latelly I have not had much time to get any work done due to being very sick, and haveing a lot of family problems to deal with. And I am without a car right now, after my lower radiator hose blew off, toasting my head gasket.

So in short, I never meant to hurt anyone, nor cause anyone any problems.
I am in a bad way right now, feeling very down.,.. not knowing how to make things right for everyone in any short ammount of time.

I will no longer avoid this place.

No, I think what made him look bad is the fact that he used my money and everyone elses money to pay for his personal bills. Or maybe the fact that he's been dicking everyone around for over 6 months. While promising to get mine out in late March, it is now mid-May. You'd think he'd be trying hard to get all these sent out but NO he is still taking in orders. I could care less that he posted. I don't think anyone paid him money to make posts. They paid him to get a MS delivered to their door. When he does that THEN you can be happy.

Nobody is getting their shit anytime soon or at all. I'd be willing to bet on it. In fact, if everyone gets their MS before August I'll donate another $50 to 2gnt. That's 2 1/2 months!

I'm glad my $340 helped you pay your bills.

well i ordered mine in like march and recieved it in a week. ordered it with a 3 bar map. well i got it and wired it in. then i opened it up and what do u know it has a 2.5 bar map in it and the processor chip had a bent prong on it and there was some solder laying across 2 wires that had gotten hot. called lee and asked him if the one he sent me had a 3 bar map in it and he assured me that it did so thats one lie, it had the wrong code version on it and i asked him to send me the right one in an email and he said that he would in 2 hours. well that was a month ago and still nothing so people i would believe everything that he says bc he lied to me several times about bs

you guys are all stupid. soo many people going to one guy. ever thing that there are many people running this a long time? i was soldering mine together when lee first made posts about getting his running. any of you want to take a gander over at the sister car (neon) and see what they are been doing. they have been running ms for a looong time now. they are the pionners on the 420a ms.

anyways, if you dont get my point, it is that you guys should have built your own. its fuckin easy.

People, like me included; were mostly were helping a 2GNT member make his start. The guy lost his job and we figured ordering through him even though soldering is as easy as picking your nose would help the guy out. Had I known in Jan when we ordered a few units that we'd never get the rest of what we paid for, then yea... we would have made them ourselves. The fact you built your own and used other people's work to get it running is no help to people here. I build my own turbo kits, you don't see me calling you a dumbass because you bought yours in a kit. Take your holier than thou attitude somewhere else.

so how come everyone doesn't just cancel their order and build their own? i would think it'd be faster to get a refund than wait until he builds all of them?

don't get me wrong i totally sympathize with you guys that feel that you're getting screwed over. but if the time frame is the biggest issue for you - not that you're unable to do build it yourself, then wouldn't it be easier to just buy the basic kit for LESS and build it yourself? if this turns into a legal matter you're just gonna be pursuing getting your money back rather than getting a MS from Lee anyways...

i look foward to putting together my own MS in the future. it looks like fun. but that's just me - i like messing with electronics. but i think that's kinda the whole driving force behind the megasquirt project too... if there were a lot of people preassembling units for different applications i think the MS forums would turn into more of a customer support for people with prebuilt units rather than a sharing ground for people's new creations.

Because a lot of people paid through paypal and the claim window has come and gone. They have no way to get their money back.

Yea, if only it were that easy. We all trusted this guy because he put up a good front. He made the right friends and seemed to be legit... Hindsight is 20/20... I love how everyone thinks they have the brilliant idea of getting a refund, like we didn't think of that?

I told you I thought it did have the 3 bar sensor in it, ?I was as surprised as you to find out it had the 2.5 bar.

As far as sending you the software via email, I did that the night we spoke to 2 different email addresses from my wifes email account.
I do not know why you did not get the emails.

Wait march of this year? I ordered mine in Feb and many other members ordered in nov. - dec. of last year. Why was yours out in a week? I know you had problems, but I am sure that is still a little up setting
to those who have waited longer.
I don't think there is anyone who doesn't understand Lee's problems. We all live our lives and there is nobody who doesn't have struggles. I still believe that you are not trying to rip people off, and I believe that you will eventually get them built, but I have to have some idea of how long it will take to get this right if I'm going to stay with you in this. Please post soon with some sort of timeframe and please be realistic. I would still like to have you build my board with all the extras that we discussed, but I can't wait for a year for it to happen. Thanks for the update Lee, at least that is a start.

I saved my original AIM conversation with lee from Dec 28, 2004 which was 2 days before his friends paypal account recieved payment. Because he used his friends account I don't think his friend is going to be very happy... (black12secta@yahoo.com)

Hey, it's simple, Whoever got the last MS from Slick, check the return address on the box. Unless you've already thought of that. The guy that got his in March. Then you can pretty easily get a hold of him at his house. Beat sensless the money out of him, and take a bunch of MS kits from his house and passs them along to the rest of us for the cost of shipping. We then make our own. Done! If it's anywhere close to me,I'll gladly help out, and so will a LARGE number of my friends.
You best be shipping some MS's there slicky-or some reimbursement money and the interest money that everyone could have made on their money if invested at market value!!!

The money's gone, that's why he's in this situation. It's too bad it turned out this way, he offered a lot of good information, just the service wasn't there. I built my own like Grain and have had it installed in my car for quite sometime, it didn't take long and it's not too hard, but with the flood of orders sent to him I'm not surprised he couldn't get them out. As for those of you who are out their payment, I feel for you, I just would hate to lose Slick as he is a great source of information. Basically, good luck to all parties.

Well this is interesting. I got an email from Paypal stating that at the time, my complaint was deferred because of the time frame. But now this new email is stating that they are going to re-open the complaint, and do an investigation. A step in the right direction at least.

But remember when you talk about kicking Lee's ass who fucking did it first and who wrote the code that allows you to use the MS on your car so fucking easily. He lost his job and decided to just develop the software that reads the crank sensor. You can persue your funds, but don't be fucking stupid and say your going to beat his ass. If you are not related to this thread you should not even be posting in it to begin with. Nor should you have any reason to back mrslick. That, in my opinion is disrespectful to the community and shady. There are MANY other inovators out there and he is merely 1 of a thousand that are constantly improving the Megasquirt for the community as a whole. Just look to xtremers and star talon for a few examples.

Therefore: Shut YOUR mouth and stay out of it.

One person, xceler8, brought up the nonsense about beating his ass, not us guys. Doing one thing right (writing code) doesn't negate stealing thousands of dollars from those he "helped." Don't attack us as a whole, single out the person and attack them.

I would urge you all to Complete that form and to submit it immediately. It will help to further our "combined" case if we show that it wasn't individuals who were scammed here, but a group of people. I think this thread has worn out it's welcome. You all know what you need to do try to get your funds back. Persue it legally, and through your financial institutions. Stop making personal threats and stop arguing with each other. We have a "bad guys" sub-forum in the SALE/WANTED forum for comments related to getting ripped off by MrSlick.
