I just recently bought a shortblock from a member and one of the transmision mounts on the bed plate was broken off. So now i need a new one or advise on fixing it. I can't find the peice that's broken off either.

As a heads up, you will need a line-bore if you put on a bedplate from another block. The main bearing journals will not be lined up right..They may "look" ok, but trust me, they wont be. Each bedplate is line bored at the factory to match each block, much like the cylinder head cam bearing caps.

XtremeRS is right. Also, It's more expensive to buy a new bedplate, line-bore the assembly, and order custom bearings than it is to just throw away the broken block and buy another one with a bedplate already included.

If the "transmission mount" you're talking about is just one of the dowels, those are cheap and you can search 2gnt for the part number. If the actual bedplate cracked/broke apart then it's junk.
