What exactly are you looking for in a 2g? I could sell you my talon if you need it. It would be a bit much to make this a project car but great for a daily driver.
96 talon stock 5 speed no power doors.
Runs great has new ECU 2 years ago. well maintained has common oil leak for 150k.

i can sell mine for 2200. it runs awesome and i just put a new tranny in it. the speedometer stopped working, but i think a negative just has to be hooked up. great for a DD definitely.

Has some rust creaping in the seams of the wheel well. Not visible on the surface of the body. Hatch has small tiny spots in the decklid where a spoiler would normally go. Drivers door is completely rust free...and new..lol
Drivers fender needs to be replaced, was hit.
Front bumper has paint that peeled off, typical bumper and lack of prep work by the shop that painted it.
Hood has tiny bit of damage from the fender getting hit, I have a spare hood if you really wanted to paint it.
Tiny spot of rust that might be creaping from under the weatherstrip of the windshield, small bubble mark is what you see if you look hard.
Drivers strut tower is showing signs of rust in the infamous spot.
If you really wanted to make this a project car, it can be done. you would need the following: Both fenders Hood which i can give you free Paint the front end Paint the hatch Paint the spot by the windshield which will possibly require the whole roof painted unless your body guy is good.
Interior is grey, nothing fancy but it in nice shape.
Trans needs 3rd gear replaced which i will do eventually, have the parts just havent had the motivation with other projects and all.
It is a talon which means the roof should be black. I had the car repaired 3 years ago and the entire car is now 1996 Mercedes Polar White. Unfortunately this color is slightly more expensive than many others. The paint for the drivers door alone was 90.00.
I have replaced the ECU by the dealer, Leak detection pump was replaced at the same time by the damn dealer. Has newer front lateral Ball joints but no idea if the recall was ever done. I ereplaced them without knowing about the recall. Will have new front brakes in another couple days.
I only value the car at 1600.00 and that is because of the 5speed swap that can be had, ECU, and motor.

well damn thats basicly all i got to do to mine if i buy it back from the insurance company...ill keep you updated, if they give me my car back for cheap then il just have to invest in fixing it
