Well, i think someone on ebay has tried to stiff me and try to get 325 off me for a used transmission. Its been 2 days and i havent heard anything from the guy, other than an invoice. Story short, i need a transmission. Ideally, close to $325 and within 300 miles of chicago. My plans are to sell my eclipse after I fix my shifting problems.

If anyone is interested in buying my Red 1997 Eclipse RS with 95k miles with the shifting problems PM me or post back. Ill be happy to put up pics if your interested. Im looking for the most 3k. Ill explain what is in the car as best as I can.

Why im selling...Im getting my dad's maxima and the eclipse has to go, i loved my 2g but the maxima is just a better car.

The bad. Obviously, theres something wrong with the transmission/ clutch. I have a new clutch/flywheel yet to put in but no transmission. I have no clue if the problem is in the clutch or transmission. A couple things happen, theres the TOB chatter which i had for a while. And the gears are hard to get into when the speed is not right, cant go into first without going into second, tough to get into reverse etc. Also, the car creeps after being driven hard. I replaced the linkage 5 months ago when it locked up, but that wasnt the main problem. I bled the slave cylinder but that did not help. Also the paint on the driver door is slightly different, barely noticeable, from body work after being hit. The interior is in fair condition. And the exterior, is bone stock with minor dings and scratches, with one big scratch from being hit, again.

The good: The car is fairly modified.

CAI - kn filter,OBX Header,OBX Muffler/catback, 3in exhaust/hollowed cat, NOS nitrous wet kit 150 shot + dual purge, phantom grip LSD,B&M short shifter clone,ES shifter plate bushings, AEM true time cam gears, Crower Cams: intake duration 248 lift .389 exhaust duration 246 lift .357, .040 bore-over, JE forged Pistons 10:5:1 c/r, Eagle rods, Rebuilt head with titanium springs and retainers. All done at 78k miles.

Again, im looking to at the most get $3,000 with the problems. make an offer and ill see what i can do. If i dont sell the car before i put a trans in it, im putting it on ebay and autotrader, but Im putting it up here first before i fix the car. My email is sk8am1@comcast.net.
