OK guys, the time has come. I am saddened to say that my eclipse has taken a turn for the worse. What happened was this... I was driving down the highway when all of a sudden my car started sputtering and then shut itself off. I had the car towed to the shop, they ran a diagnostic and couldn't find anything wrong, they said I probably just had a bad oil change/filter. They did that, and sent me on my way. I drove it the next day, got on the highway, BOOM same thing happened. Took it back to the shop, and my mechanic told me that he temporarily fixed the problem, (which was a fried wire to one of the sensors), but that my engine was going to die, and he didn't know when. The kicker - my car is a 96 and only has 73k miles on it! My mechanic is a friend of my dad's, and told me that if I didn't want a project car and put a new engine in it, to sell it and get something else. I don't want to get rid of my baby, but I am going to sell it and get something new, probably looking at a Scion TC. So.... for sale:
- 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS - stock monarch green color, AT, 73k miles, grey interior, tinted windows, pioneer head unit, sony xplods in the front, infinity's in the back, viper alarm with keyless entry and remote start, altezzas, euro antenna, clear corners, tasteful side graphics, american racing rims, underbody lights, AEM CAI, flowmaster exhaust, strut bar, indiglo gauges, aluminum bezel, painted interior pieces, carbon fiber dash kit, webasto power sunroof, custom eclipse rear badge, high blitz side skirts, NO dents or scratches on the body. I know i'm forgetting some things probably, but that is what I can think of right now. The brake pads were replaced this past winter, all oil changes were done a little before 3,000 miles, I put NGK spark plugs and wires on the car last spring, it has BRAND new tires on them, less than 2,000 miles on them, newly aligned when I got the tires put on, always cleaned the fuel injection system, etc. I also have 2 aftermarket painted front bumpers for it, an invader front and a street fighter front, and the kombat rear for it, painted as well, and a full interior painted silver that i bought from a member on here that i never installed that you are welcome to if you buy the car. KBB value on the car is $4,720, I'm looking to get $3500. Like I said, the car from what I am told is completely drivable right now, and I don't know if or when the engine will go, but when you pick up the car keep that in mind. I will not ship the car, it is available for pickup in Lehigh Valley, PA, zip code 18018. I will post pictures later.
- ALSO AVAILABLE:
- 18'' Konig Monsoon rims. 2 good tires, almost brand new, probably 85% tread. Nankang, 225/40/18. The roads around here suck, and 2 tires are no longer good and need replacing. Rims have normal wear and tear on them, but nothing serious. The rims will come complete with center caps, the correct lug nuts (our stock ones won't work with these rims), the lug nut wrench, and all 4 tires. Pickup only. Only looking to get $650 - For less than $900 you can have a set of 18'' konigs with tires that will last you for a long time. Pictures of these rims are below on the car, they are no longer on the car and are available for immediate pickup.
- Invader front bumper made for 95 - 96 eclipse/talon. Small crack in it, definitely fixable. Painted stock monarch green. Pickup only. Due to the crack, I will sell it for $50 OBO.
- Street fighter front bumper made for 97 - 99 eclipse. Bought this, painted it, never bought the new headlights like I planned on. Was used when I bought it, but still in great condition. Pickup only. Looking to get $100 OBO.
- Just about full painted interior for the lower dash. Painted silver, done by a member of 2gnt, bedlam something. Never installed, just never got around to it. There are large pieces, but keep in mind the top dash is not included. I was planning on doing a black/silver theme. Looking to just get what I paid for it - $120. Pickup only due to large pieces.
Buy the car, get everything for free above. Like I said, everything on the car is usable, and no, I don't want to part out. The dealer offered me $3k for it as a trade-in, but I would like to get a little bit more for it to help me in paying for a new car unexpectedly, and if anyone wants a project car, this only needs to have the engine rebuilt, and you have a really nice already heavily modded car for good money. Any questions, email me at eklipzed00d@gmail.com . Thanks guys
