#75256, "WTB: grey passenger airbag cover"

I'm looking for a grey passenger airbag cover that will fit my '97 Eclipse. Preferrably from a blown airbag as I do not want to pry on an active airbag to get the cover off. Email me at:
tjohnson@thirdfloordesign.net
Thanks,
Tom

The cover is pretty much glued on there. I don't think there is a good way to get just the cover off. I'm no expert though.

From what I understand when the airbag blows it's hinged in the back and that whole cover stays in one piece being pushed up and out of the way of the airbag. I was hoping to find someone with a blown airbag who could remove that whole cover assembly up to the hinge. I'm just guessing that this would be possible, I've never seen a blown airbag in an Eclipse. Somebody please let me know if I'm wrong and I'll just persue the fiberglass route.

i don't know for sure...but i am willing to put money on it being hinged...otherwise there would be a piece of vinyl being blown into your face if the bag went off. You can just get a new bag pretty cheap, they are easy to replace. If you have something else in mind, try the glass IMO.
