Originally posted by Talon98esi Ok just to set the record straight: I met Thom, showed him both sides of the hood, he stated that it was okay. My brother and I offer to help him install it on his car. He went to his shed and came back and stated that he did not have his impact gun at the time. And that he would put it on later. I told him that it was probably better to use a ratchet. At this point, he said okay, here's your money. When I left the hood was in working order with no major cracks or damages, in the same condition that I purchased the hood a year ago. And if it was installed properly with hand tools and with the correct amount of help. I don't believe he would have had a problem. I believe Thom, used his impact gun, and tried to install the hood by himself. This would explain the crack across the top of the hood, and the impact gun would rip the mounting bolts out. I cannot be held responsible for damages that he caused. The hood was sold as is! At no time did I rushed him to make up his mind to purchase the hood. He examined both sides of the hood and stated that it was okay. Mike
I never saw the bottom of the hood till after he left, I focused on what he said was wrong with the hood, I was giving him the benefit of the doubt on the rest since he was so forthcoming on the clear coat.
Impact gun was not used, still cant find it. Hell not even a ratchet was used, I had to bust out my old cresent wrenches. I think 2 people, in addition to myself, is adequet to install a carbon fiber hood; oh thats right THIS IS A FIBERGLASS HOOD, with a carbon fiber layer.
There is no crack in the top of the hood this pic:

is showing the bad vynil burn in on the clear coat, thats not a crack, thats just the angle of the hood, guilty conscience perhaps?
You are a fraud and tomorrow I contact the new castle county police, I work for chrysler and they pay for my legal fees, so it'll be my pleasure to drag this out in court until it long surpasses the original fee of the hood since you are so adament about not returning my money even though I contacted you the same day the hood was bought.
I have the mails you sent me as well, quick camera phone snaps of the "only problem areas of the hood" aka the top of the hood, nothing of the bottom.
