i started it back up today and it runs but it just sounds shitty. i am almost positive that the timing is still on. i will take 2200.00 with the wheels if anyone is interested. I could get alot more if i parted it out but i just cant see myself putting anymore of my spare into it. I have 2000.00 into the wheels and tranny itself and there is just so many more brand new parts i am crazy for selling it so cheap but it needs to go asap.

im pretty sure it has bent/damaged valves, among other things. Its an interference motor, pretty much gurantee'd to happen. I've got a friend looking for an eclipse; i'll direct him to this post

well i want to sell it because i have just given up because i have had to put in a new engine because the timing belt came off and a piston blew out the side of the engine. so i bought a used engine with low miles and completely rebuilt it. I got the engine in and 4 days later the timing belt slid off. I took everything apart AGAIN and put in all new timing parts and of course with my luck when i started it up it ran like shit(just like it did when i had a bad valve before). So i have completely given up and i just want it to go. I just wanted to see how much it was going to cost me to get it fixed. I know i can get alot more if it ran and the body work was done. I have just put so much time and money into it i hate to see it go but if someone else wants it they can take it.
