I need a short block out of a running 2GNT. Just the block itself. I would prefer it be in the MD tri-state area so I can pick it up.

Thanks.

100k is fine as long as it has good compression. Is there any way you can check it? How much would you want?

well im gonna be getting the car back to my house tomorrow morning. i dont know if its able to be started up or not, but the guy said it ran good before it got hit. ill see if i can start it when i get it back. i didnt buy it for engine components though yaknow,
what i would probly do is take of everything i wanted, let you tow wahts left of the car to wherever you are and then you can just have it taken to a salvage yard when you finish with it. if that sounds aight?
you wanna make an offer according to that?

I cant believe a 420a short block is hard to find cheap especially with 100k miles.

Jeff how bad is yours?

I found a 97 talon at a local junkyard here in VA. You can get the whole motor and auto tranny for about $100. It has 191k on it though. Still has hood and left and right tail light are in mint conidition as well.

The junkyards around me will only sell the entire long block, and that goes for around $350. I really just need the short block and don't want to deal with the rest of it.

I'll probably just end up rebuilding the stock block, I just don't know how much damage there is to the cylinder walls or the crankshaft yet. I want the engine in and out with as little time spent as possible.
