Hey guys,
One of my tail lamp cables went bad and now one of the center bulbs will not work properly (i know its not the bulbs, bulbs work fine if i switch them to the other lamp). This is the cable that holds the 2 center bulbs in the tail lamp. I tried going to Satan to see if they sold it by itself but they tell me it only comes with the whole tailight assembly. I'm not about to spend on a new tail lamp for the little cable holding the damn bulbs that's probably a few bucks only. Anyone has an extra they're willing to part with?
Thanks

Louis

Hey buy these tails off me for 15 + 6 for shipping and use what you need. The drivers side has a spider web crack on the top but the other one is good. Just an offer.

maybe if you get all tech about it,but Cable tv is run on the light poles just like the power is and both are called cable.in car audio the big 2-8 gauge power wire is called a cable.i beleave it to go by the thickness of the wire and not where its laid...

if you look in federal electrical code it is the design of the wire/cable. cable is designed for underground due to jacketing and heat characteristics. CATV wire is called wire ask any cable tech.

I may have the wires you need if you dont want to fix yours

...what about ethernet cable..isn't really made to go underground.... but anyways.....I thought about rewiring but how am I going to open the bulb casings without breaking the plastic part..they have no tabs or screws form what I can see...and I know its something loose or not making good contact there cos when I move it around it works ok but then goes back to not working. My tailights are in great shape so I really need only the "wire" but I understand its going to be kinda hard for someone to sell just the cable..err..wire. I'm going to give it a few days to see if i can get the wire only....if not I just might take you guys up on the whole lamp assembly.

do you know how to solder? if so just cut the wire about 1" from the casings and solder the new wire in..what is wrong with the wires on there now?

No, don't know how to solder...but from what I can tell the issue is inside the bulb casing (if I move it around it works for a while but as soon as i put it back on it goes back to acting up) so can't really solder there without breaking the casing first . Anyone has one lying around?....its becoming annoying having one extra-fast turn signal with a bulb out and one normal. Maybe someone has an old/non working tailight willing to sell as long as the cable's there..I'd just hate to buy a whole new working tailight when all I need is the wire....
