Hey, I am a newbie on 2gnt but I really want an rs or gs eclipse. The main reasons are I had a 1g elcipse NT and a 95-99 neon so I know the platform ... and like them. also my neon is finally dead and I believe eclipse's are better... much much better haha. There is one RS here for sale I like its a custom candy blue color and has a brand new body kit, enkei 17" rims with new tires, the paint job is new, new tranny and engine rebuilt (has 200 miles on it) carbon fiber hood, lowered. on the engine it has full exhaust, aem intake, header and a strut bar. thats about it oh and some altezzas and the rs spoiler. i love the way it looks but the dealership has an asking price of $8,000 with 1 year 12k mile warrenty... it seems a little high to be but at the same time with the stuff already done it seems like a good deal. I actually only have about $2000 as of right now and would look to finance but I am also looking for any other RS or GS in my area... NC, SC, VA. If anyone is selling one around here that is in GREAT condition please let me know. or you guys let me know what you think about that price of the dealership. even if its a good price i dont know if i can get it, I would need someone to co-sign and i dont have anyone close to me that has good credit or that would sign... we'll see but I am also looking for some tips for getting started. I was thining of a bigger TB and intake manifold and I already have an UDP from my neon that would fit and a couple of other things so Im not concerned with bolt ons, i would actually look into either turboing the stock block but ofcourse better internals or an engine swap with a turbo engine. What would be the best swap? Im looking for the most power with the best engine... like a GST or maybe an EVO (If possible) I havent dealt with the eclipse really yet so I am just looking for some heads up... maybe what you guys have done ... what the big dogs have done... and what everyone seems to like the best. I am gonna use it as my daily driver but I am hopefully getting this full time job so I can save for another little beater car for daily and put this one to a weekend road warior haha. I had my N/A neon up to about 200-220 flywheel HP and loved it... im looking foward to getting my eclipse and doing just as much or much much more! Thanks for any advise or any offers for a car.
