For sale: 1 used S-FMU. Used for about a year and a half. Still works perfectly.

History of unit: Bought in December of 2002, brand new from Vortech. Installed in February 2003, this unit was used as the foundation of my fuel system since then.

The 2.72:1 disk/ring combination comes pre-installed with the hard/dark metal spring. This is the perfect setup to run with a set of 400-450 cc/min injectors. A S-AFC is not needed for this setup.

A needle/bleed valve comes with the regulator. The check valve that once was attached to the needle/bleed valve unscrewed itself sometime within the past few months and fell off, so the buyer will need to buy a one way valve and a small NPT adaptor in order to be able to tune (lower) the fuel pressure in boost. If the valve is opened and a check valve is not installed, the fuel curve in vacuum will be fustercluck.

I am including ALL of the original rings/disks. I’m also including an EXTRA dark/hard spring, and the original silver/soft spring. I will also include my “modified” (hole enlarged slightly) S-FMU vacuum restrictor if I can find it in the mess that I call my humble garage.

This regulator was about $300 shipped brand new from Vortech. It is probably the best adjustable regulator on the market. Since this is such a high quality part, and from what I’ve seen it doesn’t depreciate much, I feel as if $225 shipped is a good asking price.
