since you powder coat can you explain to me why chrome plating is less expensive. I had a harley cover which is appx the same area plated for 75.00. how come powder is more? Or is it because the no core. how much heat can powder coating withstand?

Thanks in advance for any info you can share

Chrome plating is MUCH more expensive, sounds like your buddy got a good deal. Also, there is no core, so the winner will be able to re-sell their old valve cover.

It says in the eBay description that it wasn't prepped right in that one area... still looks good though. They do good work.

As quoted from the auction...
"Also, please note, there was some residue still on the valve cover in one place that wasn't noticed and left an odd finish on one small section of the valve cover. Look at the picture to see what I mean."

I think that pretty well covers it. It's actually much less noticable in person than in the picture, we just wanted to make SURE our customer knew it was there.

Since the coating is baked at 400 degrees, I'd say it's good up to atleast 450, but probably a little higher. But it's PLENTY for a valve cover.

I sent you an e-mail using your online website form. Please get back to me soon. I need a powdercoated valve cover for my head that is almost finished. I would like it shipped out today or Friday.

Call me at the number I listed in the e-mail. I will call you right back or whenever you are available. I really don't want to special order one if you have one that is finished/ready to ship.
