the chilton says what i need is a trailing arm , as does a mitshu dealer

I have a chilton too and it states compression arm....you are referring to the front curvey arm correct?

If thats correct i will mail you the page from my book.

better yet just to partznet.com that is the web site for concelli mitsubishi dealership and look up your part. they even have the diagrams that all dealers use in their computers. you will find it is a compression arm and there is a picture for you to look at. picture matches my book and joliet dodge here in IL. now if you want to argue over your book that is wrong and your dealer who has either misunerstood you or just plain confused then go ahead.
