#38487, "G.I.- 2.5" Mandrel bent HRC Downpipes"


          

I've had several people asking if I was still making these, and since interest is there, I am planning on doing more of them. I'd like to have at least 5 units as a bare minimum to make this worth while, and prob no more than 10 units total. All orders will need to be prepaid, and turnaround time will be 3-4 weeks after reciept of payment. Price will be 265.00 shipped to your door. You will get the following:

2 Piece, mandrel bent,2.5" aluminized Downpipe, from Turbo outlet- to cat
o2 sensor fitting welded on
8" aluminized flex section
Gaskets for the connections for the upper to lower pieces, and the
downpipe to cat
Nut/bolt hardware to fasten the two pieces
Mounting support bracket welded to the upper section to bolt to block
Installation instruction sheet
All MIG welding, and welds cleaned and inspected
NOTE: This DP will NOT include a turbine outlet flange gasket

This is what it will look like:



I'll let this go for a week or two to see if I can get the minimum:

No, 3" would be even more of a PITA over 2.5". Regardless, the majority of us HRC guys run the S16g, which means that a 2.5" pipe is plenty for the power that this turbo will ever make efficiently. Plus, fitting a 3" pipe in there(esp the upper) is next to impossible, without having to have a VERY sharp bend downward out of the turbo,which will restrict flow..almost pointless..

It's going to be a little while yet, at least until I can get a minimum of 5 people to sign up and everything. After that, I will collect the money, and then order all the parts. Last time, I made the DP's to order, in the order I recieved payement. As stated above, I would like a 3-4 week turnaround time, but unless issues arise, it will usually be 2-3 weeks..just don't like to make promises and have people get impatient if something happens. It worked great doing it this way last time, and it will be the same this time around. So to get it ASAP, isn't going to be very likely. I have to order parts from 3-4 different places, get it shipped to me,and then get time to take apart my exhaust on my car, to construct them, to make sure everything fits perfectly. Its rather time consuming, but I like taking my time and doing things the right way,and not make compromises.

Yeah thats fine. I just want the people who commit to this, have the funds to pay within a week to 2 weeks. I'm depending on people who sign up, keep their commitment of wanting one of these. I'd like at least 4-5 orders to make this happen.

Thats fine with me..If the only reason others are not interested at the moment is not enough money, then thats no big deal. I'm in no big hurry, so if it takes more than a few weeks to get the sign up, then so be it emoji The longer it takes to get the sign up people, the longer before they get started though..but if you guys are patient, then that is fine too.

Yes! I can make one of those for you too..Just add 35 bucks= 300.00 total shipped.

I have gotten several people to get in on this now, so I am going to start to order up the parts. Just send my your payment to place your order whenever you can. I will make/ship the Pipes in order i get the payments. I will keep you updated on the progress also. So, pay me when you get the money. If more than 5 people pay me, i will make it clear that i will have to order up more parts, and the time frame to be completed on those. So basically, as of now, 4 pipes are left unclaimed.

Its easier to put on over the HRC kit pipe..I try to put as much clearance as possible when making the upper section, so that you have a bit more room for that bottom bolt..

After you send payment, I expect as of now, around a 2 week turnaround time. Most of the interested people seem to be on time constraints, and I will do my best to get them out as soon as I can..just remember, these are totally custom, I have to order up parts, and take apart my exhaust setup to make these..I also don't want to just slap them together either..I take pride in my work, and am not satisfied if something isn't right.

I'm in, give me the pay pal account. My stock hrc is pissing me off. The bottom bolt got loose and chewed away at the uderportion of the down pipe. Everytime I step on it the exhaust fumes finds its way into my car.

Matt, where is the O2 welded in at? The way I've got my intercooler piping ran, my current O2 sensor rubs on the piping (just the tail end of it where the wires go in). Is there anyway you can weld the O2 bung up higher? If I have to extend the wires, that's cake.

Its pretty much around the stock location, but I can weld in it just about anywhere you need it to be..

Just waiting on some payments! I don't exactly have tons of money to be buying all these parts off hand, so I need to wait for payment, and also, this gives me an idea of how much to buy, knowing how many people have actually paid for one.

What about making one for the 2.4? It needs another inch of length downward, but it should be the same, otherwise. Shouldn't be hard to take measurements if you need them, either. The motor is on my engine stand at the moment.

I need another o2 bung welded for wideband and it needs a plug for now if you can find one and/or willing to do this let me know. Yes, for an extra 10 bucks, I can weld in a second o2 bung. I can put it anywhere you would like also. If I can find the right thread/pitch bolt, I can plug the hole too. Your price would be 275.00 shipped.
