I was hoping one of you guys that like to switch them around a bunch would have one that you don't really like anymore. I would prefer a metal one if possible. I would also like one that tapers down to its base. Not looking to spend very much, just hoping someone had a used one. Thanks.

Avery,

I work at RTM Racing up in Ontario. We make stainless steel shift knobs that thread on to your shifter. Check out the site www.rtmracing.com
If you see something you like I can probably get you a bit of a discount. I have one on my car and the weight of it makes it shift so much nicer than stock.

Yeah, they're nice. It's just a little more than I wanted to spend. What kind of discount do you think you could get me? Just curious.

Okay then, I was looking to spend about $25 shipped. It doesn't have to be fancy, I just want one that screws on instead of those silly allen wrench screws. Someone let me know.

I'd be willing to do a group buy on these if your interested. I could mill the mitsu logo on there easily, I could also do names, initals, 2gnt. If someone would teach my computer illiterate ass how to post a pic I'd show you my shift knob and a mitsu emblem I made. The more people you get interested the cheaper I can sell them to you for. Let me know something. email me if you want chrisreed@frontiernet.net.

I will speak with my boss regarding the group buy in the morning. As far as the Mitsu logo goes, we dont mill it because that would leave the corners round. So we EDM it in to get a nice crisp corner. Powder coating, custom engraving of anything all are available.

Ok guys here is what I ot from my boss:

First my boss won't make anything less than top quality. He is a tool and die maker and his reputation for only the best quality is very important. He will ONLY make them in stainless steel, as anything else would be crap! we made some in aluminum when we first started out, but he didn't like them so we stopped making them. If you want them cheaper go to the other guy. Regular price is $50. for plain shape , $60 for engraved or the Mitsu logo burned, but if they did a group buy, you could save anywhere from 10 - 30%, depending how many were ordered...

Any questions you can contact me at danzeller@sympatico.ca
OR for faster response contact my boss (Ziggy) rtm@quickclic.net

Sounds good. What about a talon logo? Or ESi in the "talon" font?

But there are knobs with flat tops for engraving on the site for 40. In fact, the one I wanted had the rings for grip. Why start with the 50 dollar one? There's even one already engraved for 50. Which one are you using?

Okay, somehow there was some miscommunication on the pricing. I think but am not sure that he gave me Canadian prices. They dont convert exactly. As far as a Talon or Esi or anything for that matter, ANYTHING can be done. Send him a file of anything, even something you draw up yourself and he can put it on your shift knob for you. I am currently using the High Tech rounded, but if you guys are getting some engraved or EDM'd I may just see if I can switch?

I will confirm pricing again in the morning, but I am pretty sure what I gave you are regular prices in Canada.

Dan

Oh okay, that makes more sense then. Thanks. If we are going to do this, maybe we, or I, should start a post on the GB? Hey Dan, once you confirm it with your boss you want to throw a post up on the GB forum and people can start adding their names?
