Recently, more and more of you have been piecing together custom turbo kits. We all know running the Intercooler piping from the turbo to the IC and from the IC to the intake manifold can be an expensive pain.

I am considering selling the entire package.

2.2"Intercooler piping from the turbo to the intercooler, from the intercooler to the intake manifold, all couplings, clamps, and elbows needed, all pipes pre-cut and 'ready to go', with BOV flange, and all mandrel bent.

I am currently working on the first 'kit' for BMPDirk. I will have him post pics when he is finished.

Possible prices:
SMIC piping $120
FMIC piping $145

Let me know what you think...I dunno maybe it'snot a good idea maybe it is...but I can do it and am considering it.

sounds like a good deal.. but how are you going to be making piping for all the different manifold/IC positions? i know they are generally in the same spot.. but ic's are different sizes and manifolds have turbos sitting in different positions..

im not trying to be an asshole.. i actually am (or will be) looking for some new piping and i am interested.

^^what is now.. and permanently^^

Good idea, but like ^^^ said, every FMIC is different. How will you know how to make the pipes fit perfectly???

i would be interested, after hearing the answers to the above questions. this is one of the things i have been worrying about with my custom kit, and this could make things a lot easier. maybe i missed it, but are the pipes going to be treated with anything?

The piping would be ideal for turbos that are clocked in the 'standard' position. (How the HRC turbo sits) Because that is what I have always dealt with. I'm sure I could manage piping for turbos that are clocked diferently, I'd just need pics.

As far as the intercoolers being different and slight differences in turbo setups, I will be making the pipes which lead to the Intercooler a tad longer, so they can be trimmed by to your perfection. In essence, the kits would be 95% perfect fit. Before making piping for each person, I'd be sure to talk to them, get to know their eact setup as far as where their turbo will sit, what intercooler..etc...so I can tailor the pipe lengths just right for each person.

The pipes don't have any special treatment from myself, however I have had these pipes in my engine bay for 6 months, and they still look great.

So, in all, the kit would come a very close fit, you would have to make minimal changes to mate the pipes to the intercooler, other than that it will all fit up just right.

Let me finish BMPDirks, see how it turns out...he will post pics. After that, if it is a success (which it will be), I will consider making more than one at a time.

Stay posted for pics, I should have his kit shipped out this weekend.

I have all of BMPDirks piping layed out. Took some dimensions today, everything is looking good.

One thing that will be a small facotor, not a big deal - the pipe that connects to the intercooler inlet and pipe coming from the outlet will be tough to make 'perfect' because everyone setup is just a tad different. So, there will be a little bit of work on your side. I am leaving these two pipes a few inches long so that you can tailor them to your excact specification by either cutting a little off or manipulating the pipe.

Other than that, all the piping will fit great. It actually looks pretty cool under the engine bay. The pipe from the turbo curves 'over' the pipe that leads to the intake manifold and runs behind it...hard to explain, but looks high tech. I cut half of the piping today, still have some more to do. I hope to have it sent on Saturday. Then after he installs it and shows pics...you can let me know what you think.

There is one stipulation to ordering this piping.
I am a poor college student, and I can't afford to do it with money on hand....so you have to pay first...then I piece it all together, cut it all..etc. emoji

Here are a few pics of the pipes loosely mounted. They are all cut to fit, however it was very very cold and raining out when I was test fitting these on my car and I did't clamp any of the couplings down. The pipes and couplings are simply 'resting' in the engine bay. Also, my nitrile elbows wouldn't fit these pipes because my pipes are a tad smaller. I am waiting on his elbows and I'll be sending it all out - and then BMPDirk will post some pics of what it all looks like when it's all perfectly in place and clamped down.

These give you an idea.

2.2 inches is as big as u can go? i need something more of 2.5-3.0inch, flowing a s20g at 1.2 bars would be kinda restrictive i would think. let me know, if so, im interested.

i'm down for those prices...but i think like everyone else is saying making them fit for everyones custom application will be hard...might be better if you just make the one piece pipe to the throttle body, and sell bends and such for the rest to be custom made local to the buyer...just a though....i think the biggest money and the easiest think to make is that one piece...it's pretty much always going to be the same!!!!!! good luck and keep us posted

Granted it will be a tad different for everyones setup, but the majority of the piping for these kits fits all of our 420A engine bays...the only pipes that could be different are the pipe that leads to the intercooler and the first pipe after the intercooler, because your IC may be positioned different - therefore the pipes would have to be longer or shorter....so I will send these two pipes a tad long, so they can be cut down to fit the personal application.

More pics to come after BMPDirk installs his....
