It depends if you went All Carbon Fiber, or used some other material, a core, or FiberGlast, to make up the difference in thickness,
If you went all Fiber
it's 50" wide soo your looking 4 yards, that'd get you two layers of carbon, then hardend thats 50dollars a yard for 12K 19.5oz Fiber
soo $200 + 50 bucs to harden thats 250 + SH
thats the expensive way
you could use a cheaper material like Fiberglast for first two layers, or honeycomb core ect. and then accentuate it w/ Carbon
thats alot cheaper, you could get buy w/ 2 yards of Fiber that way
hardend would be 125$ thats 1/2 price, just by using FiberGlass
it' just wouldn't be as stiff until you added the Fiberglass or foam core backing.

And thats just a flat splitter like on my car

check it out... http://www.helicon.net/~rvrabel/

I never got that e-mail. eclipse_9d9@hotmail.com
My friend said businesses could probably ship something 6' tall. He said it may not be cheap or anything though. Could you find out somehow what the price would be shipped for it to 27292? How hard is it to work with it to harden it? Can anyone get the materials and do it?

Anyone can work with it, it takes a lil getting used to
but you can get Fiberglass Resin and hardner at local
TrueValue, WalMart, Lowes, home Depot, and alot of Auto Stores
Auto Zone, Advanced, etc.

You just have to mix up the resin in non waxy plastic cups,
wear rubber gloves, make sure you mix it exactly to specs on the
can.... example 17drops of Hardner to 1 pint of resin.. something like that it should say, and some Resin's even come with the Hardner.
Get Alot of Brushes, and Layout your product, if your doing it flat
its the easiest,
-Get a piece of Glass preferreably, something the Carbon Wont' stick too once it dries, and put canuba wax, or car wax all over the glass,
really supposed to use a "releaser"
-Then Mix the Resin * once you mix you must start, you only have a
little bit of working time, the stuff should heat up, when you mix it
(mix well) then just start soaking the carbon Fiber
-Real "Wet" it out, Don't use cheap brushes or the Foam Brushes
the fall apart and into the resin making bumps and getting hairs onto the carbon. Let Dry, and repeat... then sand, both wet and dry sand paper works fine. Then you'll have to find something to clear coat it with... Spray on with Good Spray gun works best, but theres a ton of other ways to clear coat it...

NO!!!! You're not supposed to use fiberglass resin with carbon fiber, you use epoxy resin. If you use fiberglass resin, it's going to eventually seperate.

I know i'm saying if he wants to use it to get used to it, epoxy resin is usually cheaper and is a good way for people to start out with CF and brushing it on...it has real similar characteristics, pot life, viscosity, texture, etc.
