Well... bad news for me.. went around a sharp bend and some guy in a big truck was on my side of the road. I swerved to miss him and in the process found myself in a ditch.... and if that wasn't enough, there was a HUGE log laying in the ditch (like half the size of a telephone pole). It got wedged in the spot where my passenger side headlight used to be. That poor headlight disapeared.. never did find it. Check out the aftermath here: http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=212598&page=5 Does anyone know what all those dangling parts are? I'm assuming they are for the A/C. I think I'm going to totally remove all the A/C stuff now.

Anyway, I need all of the following items like yesterday. emoji

passenger side lower control arm
power steering fuild resevoir
front bumper - preferably not stock since i have to change it anyway, might as well get something else... may consider 97-99 style tho.
passenger side front fender
hood - prefer something other than stock here as well
headlights - either just the passenger side 95-96 style or a set of 97-99 (prefer chrome projectors.. but might just try to buy these new).

Anyone know anyone who can help me tune this in the Pittsburgh area (Greensburg)?

Wow man... that sucks -- did your airbags deploy at all?? BTW -- why aren't you using insurance... no offense dude but that is quite a bit of damage -- you may want to look into insurance first. Glad to hear you are okay though -- i spent some time in a ditch once -- luckily it was on these soft reeds of some sort.. so all i did was scrape the car up a little -- only cost me $400 to repair it.

Hope everything works out for you -- wish i could give you all the parts off of my eclipse but they towed it away.. i do know that somewhere in NJ there is a car with completely perfect body panels...

2003 VW GTI 1.8t.. I used to have a 95 Eclipse but well...water sucks.

airbags didn't deploy.. I was actually only going maybe 10-15 mph at impact. damn log just shot right up into the headlight and the bank ushed back the wheel and bent the control arm. As far as insurance, well.. I was dumb and i only had limited tort (liability). Doesn't cover anything like this... but i was thinking about upping my coverage and filing a claim in a week or so. Do you think that could work?

Anyone know anyone who can help me tune this in the Pittsburgh area (Greensburg)?

who's fault was it?

If it was his then his insurance would pay for everything if he has insurance. And you did get a police report correct? And the other driver's info?

couldn't get any of his info. It was in the middle of nowhere.. i bet police don't even know this road exists. He didn't even stop.. I actually lost control just as he rounded the bend so I'm not even sure if he knew I ran off the road.

I just went to a junkyard and got the control arm ($75) and a power steering resevoir ($5). They have a fender for $100, but I was hoping I could find one online cheaper than that.

How much do u want for the hood? what color is it?

thanx for the ebay links, but I already checked into most of those. I'm considering some of those, but trying to find the best prices yet.

ok, i just ordered some 97-99 chrome projector headlights and I got the control arm and ps fluid resevoir on the car now. I ripped out all the A/C stuff except for the compressor (i'll get to that later since i'll need a smaller belt). It's back together good enough to drive now. I'm actually gonna drive it to work tomorrow.

I still need the following (color doesn't really matter much, but black prefered):

- hood (either really cheap stocker or a carbon fiber/fiberglass one under $450 shipped).
- passenger front fender ($75 shipped?)
- front bumper (either stock 97-99 or fiberglass 97-99 style aftermarket).
- looks like I may need a power steering pump as well.. if it's cheap enough i'll buy one.
- I also need the drivers side door handle assmebly

They have this great thing called a photo inspection -- you can't just upgrade your insurance without them checking out the car first then mysteriously getting into an accident a few days later...its called insurance fraud btw..

Good luck with everything else.

Let me check on shipping for the hood. If it's not too steep, we'll say an even 100 shipped. It's green.

As long as greyhound will take it, then I'll do it. Earliest I can have it shipped out is next monday, so you have until then to decide.
