Don't understand Y U wouldn't just go 2 AutoZone, etc. 2 pick up a pair... they're pretty cheap, no shipping. If I remember right, I paid $15/ea (15x2=30) 4 a 95 Pontiac Grand Prix SE, which I'd think would mayB B a buck or 2 more than ours since it's heavier.
That's ~$30 for NEW tie rod ends that U don't have 2 worry about wear on the joint/bearing.
P.S. I'm sure U know what U R doing, but it would B my preference 2 replace the inner tie rods as well.

Sure they do! I know AutoZone is screwy though. They've got just about all our parts, it's just they don't have them listed under all the years. In another words, tell them 2 look them up under a 96, no?, try 97, no?, 98, no?, 99. I've gotta 99 & I usually just tell them it's a 97 & no prob. Sometimes though they have 2 look under 98 (not under 98). Also, 1 store will tell U 1 thing & a diff AutoZone will tell U something else. Wish they would get the listings 4 our car 2gether.
But yeah, go try Discount/Advanced Auto, Pep Boys, NAPA, etc. if not.
I'm sure U can bump them off some1 here, but I'd still prefer new.
