Yes I'm the old timer nammed Alain from way back to ASOG days 11 years ago , the french-canadian guy who did all the researches about the 2.4 swap and wrote how-tos etc etc

my Avenger has been out of the road for the last 3 years and is going to the yard this summer my 2.4 engine is for sale and will be available in May when temperature will be warmer

details
the block was a 2001 low mileage Caravan block from USA it has less than 13 000 miles when I bought it in 2002 and I only kept the block and the crankshaft
the head was a 1997
new parts put when I did the built in 2003
crank bearing
rod bearing
srt-4 rods
srt-4 pistons
2.4 regular water pump
srt-4 tensionner
idler pulley
srt-4 acc belt tensionner
srt-4 engine mount
srt-4 accessorie mount
NA 2.4 valve cover
#24 injectors
the head was shaved 0.02 and the block was decked 0.005
compression is around 8.5:1
the oil pan is custom aluminium pan made with a brand new 2G stratus/sebring pan profesionnaly tig welded
the pan is fitted inside with a unique baffle in the deep section
the engine come with a Nick Boers aluminium fast release underdrive pulley
all the sensors come with the engine they have the 1995 round pins connections
the alternator come with it too

the swap was done fall 2005

the bad news: the engine had a small oil leak that I'm 95% sure it came from a cam seal the timming belt will need to be replaced because it was soaked in oil engine for a few years now and the cam seals checked

the good news: the engine ran trouble free , except for the oil leak, for only 8000 km in 2005-early 2006

the following parts will be offered to the buyer for really cheap and will only be sold separately if the engine buyer doesn't want them
a used set of crower 2/3 bought in 2007 for a member here and never installer
a set of 4 brand new AGX adjustable struts still in the box bought in 2006 and in storage since
a set of 4 used #42 ford green injectors
a set of 4 brand new polyurethane engine mount inserts

I'm asking $1000 for the engine and I won't ship it however I could deliver it to the canadian border in vermont , upstate new york (plattsburg, thousand islands, niagara)
pictures are available I will need to dig them

email me any questions alain95i4@hotmail.com

I'm already getting emails for the AGX
I need to specify they are not for sale and I don't have a price for you

IF somebody buy me engine he will have the chance to get them for really cheap and IF he doesn't want them then they will be for sale for a higher price until the engine is sold don't message me for a price please

You'll garner a lot more interest if you'll freight it. Otherwise you're limiting your potential buyers to the northernmost sates only. Just saying. Good luck with the sale.
