I want to replace my current head with another. I am experiencing lifter failure, and would like to put in different cams. I currently have crane stage II. The idle is horible because of the aggresive cam profile. That coupled with the turbo makes for a bad low end power until the turbo gets going.
Just the bare head is fine. I don't need the cams or gears. All the bolts, and upper cam retainers I would like however. Not the head bolts, just the bolts for all the covers.

I have a head from my 95 ESI but you would probably want to have it milled and do a valve job just to be safe.

I will be giving it a good once over. I won't be using any of the old parts on it. I just want the head. How much to ship it to zip 23456? I know that some of the thermostat housing pieces changed slightly throughout the years, as did a few other things related to emmisions. I just want to double check that this thing will fit right up to my current 98.

I can get one from the local junk yard for $50. I just wanted to support 2gnt'ers. I can't go much over that price though. That doesn't include shipping..

i agree. You probably won't find a reliable head you can use and have any problems. I have one that's been machined, hot tanked, and ready to install. Clean as a whistle. $150 shipped.
