Hello everyone. I desperately need a stock block to get my car running again. I blew an eagle rod and just have not had the bucks to rebuild. Been without my car since July emoji

Anyhow if anyone in SoCal, preferably, has a stock WORKING motor lying around, I would love to buy it off you. Just want something that doesn't need a lot of work and I can throw on to get my car back on the road. Let me know, thanks.

How much? I'm in 92316 if you could possibly get a quote. Does it have all stock internals and all?

Hamelth,

If you don't work out a deal with the gents above, I have a block that has a spun bearing. I don't know how much it would cost to repair (polishing crank, new bearings, whatnot) but it may beat the cost of shipping a 420a from another state.

I think the SoCal guys should all chip in and build 1 spare block so that it is on hand to be used when the inevitable happens.

Did you check the Neons.org board?

Some of the Local San Bernardino Junkyards has some farily decent blocks sitting around.

I think I might be picking one up. The condition is unknown though since I have not checked it out and the car crashed. Supposedly it was running kinda rough after the crash due to sensors or possible problems.
