i bought some solid brass bushings from a guy on tuners way back in the day that replaced the plastic bushings on the tranny shift cables. well, that car is gone and now i'd like to find these parts again. anybody know where to find them nowadays?? lmk

Just use a set of roller blade bearings. I know is sound dumb but they work great. That is what i got when i ordered shifter bushing.
