Hey guys. I just want to thank those of you who helped but didn't know it. I think you guys may need to upgrade the search button on here cause I used the crap out of it for the last 2 years and it may have some wear on it. I bought a 99' Eclipse about 2 years ago with a broken timing belt. Being the "mechanic" that I am I thought this would be the perfect car to move from V8's to imports. I love working on cars and I've always wanted to see how much work it would take on a 4 banger to spank a V8.

Well I fixed the car. Wanted to go turbo ever since. About 4 months ago I ended up hydrolocking my motor. Thats what I get for running CAI. Anyway, this gave me the opportunity to go in and build it for boost. Again, I have used the search button on here almost every day for the last two years trying to figure out just exactly what it takes to run turbo safely on a 420a.

So after punching it out .040, Wiseco pistons @ 8.8:1, wieghed and balanced stock rods (because I read that they are good up to 300HP and all I'm looking to do is 250HP), polished stock crank, Clevite bearings, MLS head gasket, stock polished cams, PT rockers, Gates performance timing belt and pulleys, UDP, and a little fresh motor paint, I am now breaking in a new motor that I will boost in about 1 to 2 months.

I plan on going ahead and installing some of the things that I'm going to need such as a Walbro 255HP fuel pump, FCD, and FMIC. I will wait until I'm ready to turbo to put in the FMU (Vortech 12:1), FMIC piping, turbo timer, and all the other stuff like the turbo. HAHA. If my budget allows, then I will grab MS and then of course the FMU will change. I have already installed the gauges which are all Auto Meter.(oil, boost, EGT, WB A/F guage)

Anyway, I just want to say thanks to all of you who helped out. I know what I know now because of you guys. I will post some picks just as soon as I figure out how. HAHA!
