#2477, "RE: Can Anyone send me their ignition table for MS?" In response to In response to 5 Aug-24-06 03:24 AM by Corbin
FYI: I hooked up a 4G63 power transistor. Same behavior as before. I had a passenger with me this time though. They were able to watch the laptop while I tried to duplicate the problem. I'm not sure if it is a cause or symptom, but my tach starts to jump as the car bucks. It will drop to zero, spike to 8,000, and hop around to lesser degrees. I think the problem has always been there. The imprecise nature of the fueling just masks the problem. Cut the pulsewidth of the injector a little short for one cycle and you barely notice it. Miss an ignition event and you will definitely notice it. My tach wire is sheilded and all of my grounds run through unbroken 14 gage wire with soldered connections bolted to the battery. I'm going to play with some alternative wiring strategies and see if anything helps.
