and as for your box:
i guess the main question is what do u normaly listen to??? if your a spread as i am (listen to everything from house to classic rock to classical)you will enjoy a seal much much more..and as SPL noted above ... with the air space requirments for vented enclosers i will just take up too much room....so either end up building a box that uses the entire hatch space and have it heavey and look like hell or.... so sealed and save yourself the hassle..
