The car i plan to get is an Auto 1995-1997 GS. It will eventail have a stage 1 or 2 HRC turbo kit on it and i was wondering what is the best way to launch with an auto?

yeah you should get stick dude? Do you know how to drive stick? If you don't you should try it and compare. Some peeps say it's too much work but after a while you don't even think about it. You can do a lot of cool stuff with a stick too hehe.
Ahhh yes powerbrake would be a good way to take off, I would do that or just ease the pedal enough so it won't squeal and then floor it when your off.
Just wondering but do any of you auto guys left foot brake in the corners? I always wondered if it work in an auto, I would think it does.

I found a new one that works good for me. Better than powerbraking even. Neutral drop without revving. Put the car in N at a stop, and b4 u go, release the brake, when u wanna go, drop it into D and floor it at the same time. It's a really good launch I think. I haven't tried it but a few times. The tires spun and I didn't get the CLUNK like you do from revving to about 5500 and dropping into D. It seems pretty effective and seems safe. I can rebuild the tranny cheap tho, so if I break it, I rebuild it for about $200-250. I work in an auto tranny shop and my dad and grandfather own it. I can do the level 10 rebuild for that price. I don't want a stall speed converter tho. You have to powerbrake to launch then. I am thinking of doing a shift kit soon tho to try and rev a little higher and firm up my shifts. Right now on the stock auto, at times, I can chirp into 3rd. Not everytime tho. It impressed the hell out of me that the car can build that much momentum to chirp 3rd with few mods. I'm rambling. Sorry.

And as for the corners, I just click it out of O/D and then let off, and in the curve, I accelerate out and get some spin b4 I exit the curve. I have killed some camaros and mustangs like that, cuz they won't take 40 MPH curves at 60 MPH. I only take the curves faster if I know the roads tho and I test the car's ability on the roads I drive on. As far as each time, I gradually increase speed till it feels like I might lose it. I think driving like this improves my skills a bit, but I don't reccomend you do this right when u get your license.

I got this idea also after mistakenly doing it in a rental uhaul truck (lol, wanna race?), but i think its basically the same as neutral dropping, cause auto trannies take a little bit to engage since they're electronnic

it might be the same, it just didn't feel as bad as a 5k rev on an auto. That feels like your tranny is gonna fall out or some shit. It's like CLUNK screeeeechhhhhh. haha. Sux, but it is a nice launch to rev up to 5k. You 5 speeders are lucky. I hope to get me one soon enough.

That is just plain CRAZZZZY. You're gonna trash your tranny AS WELL AS your drivetrain. And 9d9, you can chirp third? Thats pretty cool but, cause AT's shift so smoothly, I can't see how that is possible. On wet roads, I can light em up in 2nd but it's all boost.
