Mark, you seem to miss all of my points, everyone. you have confirmed there are gaps when mike claims there are none. The gaps were large enough for you to feel obligated to correct them prior to welding. The gaps are there because Mike is in a hurry and lazy. Its not the tools, its not the experience, its lazy. Last i checked, a hack is someone who half asses a job for someone else to correct. Had the gaps have been irrelevant, you would have just welded them with no thought. Its no much the fact that Mike did this, its the fact he argued the fitment is find normal and there were only tiny gaps. Had he have just claimed he had a hrad time with it and couldnt seem to get it to fit right then the discussion would have ended before it started. This is the very reason i wont let Mike paint my bike!
