Because the motor mounts are totally different. On a framed car like a BMW or an old muscle car you can simply bolt new motor mounts to the frame. But on a FWD uni-body car you can't do that. You have to cut and weld new motor mounts. Which if they aren't measured correctly within a millimeter your entire drive geometry will be off. That and NONE of the wiring is correct. Go outside and mess with your wiring harness. It's not just in the engine bay but goes into the car as well. And they're all connected. So you have to completely rewire the whole car. If done correctly by a professional shop, yes I'm sure it's possible. But it's not like a Honda where you can just change a harness and plug in a new ECU.

Yeah bmw's have subframes or ... whatever... maybe that and the fact that it costs like ten grand to do... heh
