Before adding more power...get the power you have hooked up! I'm sure that you can get your 60ft's down with some work on 14's. I got a 2.27 60ft with my 110HP Probe GL on 185/70 14's (firestone hockey pucks!). I launch at around 3600-4000 with NO burnout. I just spin enough to clean them off. Alot of heat with street tires is a no-no. Drag radials yes..but normal street tires no. Do you go thru the waterbox?? If so..don't..go around. The water gets in the treads and comes out when you go to launch. You just have to get the right rpm's for a no bog and a little spin. I spin from the start all through 1st and hook in 2nd with my probe and get good 60ft's. How do you shift? That makes a difference too. I just hold it to the floor...and power shift most of the time. What is your air pressure? That could do it too..drop it down to 20psi or so if you have to. Try all that stuff...make the car use all the power it has...before you add more.
