#87703, "Turbo'd with high compression guys, get in here"

Just wanna know what is the highest anyone has ever ran on high compression? Im running 10.5:1 and I got it tuned to 15psi. My wbo2 is showing 11.4 at full boost and the EGT's dont get above 13. I even had it at 80mph in 4th gear and it was barely hittin 13. Im just askin cuz I want to push the envelope a little more and just wanted to see how much you guys have gotten yours. I must say, 15psi is soooooooo much better than 10psi, lol.

Heres my setup
built forged bottom w/ 10.5:1
Precision SC61 .63 76
1:1 Aeromotive
MegaSquirt w/ newest version
FMIC
2.5" turbo back

You need three more stickers to crack the 800hp mark emoji

what octane and are you spraying water? How big an intercooler/what are your Intake Air Temps? whats the timing at max?

Representing the Central Cali chapter of 2GNT!

I ususally run Sunoco 93, sometimes 94.

No water injection.

My IC really isnt that big, its like 23"X12"X3".

Actually I cant remember my air temps, but when I leave today, I will hook up the ol' laptop and see what they are.

As for timing, Im not running any type of timing adjustment.

Only other thing I can think of, is Im running my stock cams @ -4 on both sides. Dont know if its doing anything, but will dyno here soon.

Actually brotha, yes Im kiddn, lol. 800whp would suck, I wouldnt be able to go anywhere.

YEah I hooked up the spark, but all it really gave was problems. When I launched, through all the gears, between 5-6k, the car would sputter real bad. Almost like the spark was getting blown out. Also it had a really bad jumping idle. Like it had a bad tps.

I actually thought I needed it to run 15psi. After them probs I disconnected the ignition and just gave the car another run, because everything else was still tuned and she ran awesome.

With the cam gears at -4 you are retarding the timing 8 degrees at the crank. That is the key to your success...lol Good job man.

I wouldlike to say its nice seeing another high-comp guy though, since thats the route ive taken. I figured 15psi would be the max on 10.5:1 cr (or the max i would push my motor anyways) on race gas.

Are you daily-driving this thing btw, or is it your trailer queen?

I too am looking forward to near stock comp and FI. I am roughly 9.4:1 and seems quite torquey for n/a. What kind of dwell settings are you using on your MSnS+e? It may be too low causing you to blow out the spark. Post up your set up on the ignition and maybe some of these guys can help. It's glad to see success with higher comp and FI with the MS, really makes me glad I didn't go the 8.8:1 route seeing the TQ to be made with higher.
