I am having problems with my shifter after about 1.5 yrs of use. I was driving back fr om getting a pack of smokes today and when I was pulling into my sub-division, I couldnt shift 1st or 2nd gear, just 3rd and 4th and reverse.... I found a pin when I took the center console apart, but I cant find out where it goes. Does anyone have the install manual or have had the same prob? It shows rub marks on the base of the unit like its off track somehow? Any help is much appreciated, Brad 98 T-GS

The pin goes to the left bottom of the shifter. It holds it on the bar that runs to the front of the car. Should be a little hole where it is supposed to go.

Well, its not that I dont think... because I can shift 1st and 2nd, but I have to force it into place, it used to slide right into gear perfect then all of a sudden, no warning, just messed up... Plus, I just installed a new HRC stage V clutch not 3 months ago... Ohh well, I'll fool with it until I get it right.. -- brad 98 t-gs

If I put it in reverse, you can feel it bind up and then all the gears are real tight to shift... expecially 1st and 2nd... then if i fool with it a little I can get it out of the bind and it'll be ok.... wierd huh? -- brad 98 t-gs

Ok, I'll check, are you talking about the guides right by the shifter? The one closest to the shifter looks crooked, but I dont see how to make it stay in place?? You can see in the pics above that its crooked and thats my prob, but i dont know how it did that all of a sudden or how to fix it -- Shiftin' hard Brad 98 t-gs
