I've gone through the archives already and I guess its been concluded doing the blue wire mod to the 1st/downpipe O2 sensor ,with an A/F meter already spliced into it, nets lower O2 values and adversely affects the whole ECU tuning of the car.

I was thinking though, if that is the case and you have a race pipe on your car, why not hook it to the 2nd O2 sensor?? Of course if the catalytic convertor was there it would affect the 2nd O2 reading dramatically, but I have a race pipe in :o Will there be that much of a difference between the two O2 sensors then?? ..........Basically I want to look at my A/F ratio as a voltage value rather than the unpractical LED's on the autometer....I would still like to keep my Autometer gauge hooked-up though for the ease of monitoring day-to-day driving. I know I am running grossly rich in the top end, but before I start leaning things out I want to have something to monitor my A/F ratio more in depth. I just installed my EGT gauge last week and want to get to some serious tuning now

I think o2 sensor output is also affected by egt's. I wouldn't use the one after the cat. if all else fails, you can always weld in a stand alone o2 sensor.

Yeah... It's a HEATED O2 sensor. If anything hook your accurate A/F gauge to the first O2 sensor and just to monitor use the blinky autometer. Compair the two for a while and you should get a general idea of the difference.
