If I modify an internal wastegate actuator rod like in this link, won't I be able to adjust the boost by using different preloads? Like if I tighten the nut, it would cause more preload on the actuator, and open sooner and lower boost. If I loosen it, it will open later and raise boost. If this is the case, I wouldn't need an MBC to go along with it would I? In my head, it seems like it would work. I just need some other brains to tell me if it won't, and why.
Lets just say this... I'm over 100whp and soon to cross 200whp. Thanx 2GNT! Now if I could only learn to prove it.

yes, it will work, but the higher the preload, youll get more spikes, and the lower the preload, the longer the spool-up time will be (the wastegate will begin to open very early, letting exhaust gas by, taking longer to reach full boost).
an mbc can be had for less than $30 or DIY for less than $10.

A friend of mine gave me an MBC, I was just wondering if I was thinking correctly about that. I plan on trying to get the wastegate actuator down to about 3psi, and run somwehere around 6-8psi on the MBC.
Lets just say this... I'm over 100whp and soon to cross 200whp. Thanx 2GNT! Now if I could only learn to prove it.
