#63714, "What do you run?"

OK, I'm interested to see exactly what everyone here is running... so why don't we all list our setups, how much boost you run, dyno numbers if any and our future plans.... so I'll start:

2.0 Liter 420A
Wiseco 8.5:1 standard bore pistons
Custom Exhaust Manifold
Big 16G, ported
Custom IC piping
1G Sidemount
SAFC
DSM 450CC injectors w. custom resister pack
Modified Cartech FPR
1G BOV
Custom dual stage boost controller

I'm probably forgetting things right now....lol
I run low boost set to 10 psi and high boost set to 19 psi.
Low boost is only used when traction is a problem.... heh, like anytime in the first two or three gears....lol
Everything in my setup is all custom...

I haven't dyno'd yet but I'd estimate power somewhere in the 300+ hp range... emoji

Here is my setup:

--JE Pistons with Eagle Rods (Built by VT Engines - Info Below)

The block is resurfaced, bored, honed with a torque plate, blanced, blueprinted, and assembled. We use Eagle Connecting Rods, 8.8:1 compression JE Pistons, ARP Main Studs, a Melling oil pump, new mitsubishi bearings, as well as new front and rear main seal. (I had a faulty rear main seal)

--MLS Head Gasket
--ARP Head Studs
--Clutch Masters Stage 4 Clutch
--Hahn Racecraft Stage 2 Kit with Side Mount Intercooler (16g)
--390 cc/min Injectors
--Greddy BOV
--Turbo XS High Performance Boost Controller
--Accel Inline Fuel Pump, Walbro Intank Fuel Pump
--Vortech SFMU
--Boost is set at 10 psi for now (too cold in New Jersey to mess with fuel setup and boost controller)
--Pocketlogger Data Logger
--Autometer Lunar Series A/F ratio, Boost, and EGT gauges
--HKS Cat Back Exhaust System
--Custom Flange (Welded) from HRC Downpipe to Stock Downpipe (no more exhaust leaks!!)

That's the main equipment. The rest of the equipment can be seen in my signature.

Future Plans:
20g Turbo

S-20G (TD05)
8.8:1 JE pistons/Eagle rods
Accel DFI Gen VI with Calmap
Accel 625cc injectors
Supra intank fuel pump
Crane DIS ignition/timing retard module
MSD coil pack
Yonaka fmic (same core used in the Skyline)
Fluidyne radiator w/12" Spal fan
Custom ss i/c pipes
NGK bkr7e
CM stage 3 clutch (hurting real bad)
Stock GS-T catback w/electronic cutout
Gauges: egt, a/f, oil pressure

...stock everything else. After the clutch gets replaced with a stage IV, I will dyno tune the DFI fuel maps for pump gas, and C-114 at ~25 lbs. for maximum gains. In 2002, it dyno'd at 310 fwhp/ 318 ft.lbs running 18psi with the 16G, stock GS-T catback & cat., and a super rich HRC base fuel map preprogrammed with the DFI (shooting fuel out the exhaust!) We'll see this year...

Look again at his mods list ... see upgraded injectors there? Didn't think so. You have to run a 12:1 or close to that on stock injectors to supply enough fuel.

Look again at his mods list ... see upgraded injectors there? Didn't think so. You have to run a 12:1 or close to that on stock injectors to supply enough fuel.

well i wasnt really thinking along the lines of the 12:1 without upgraded injectors, i was thinking abotu fuel pressure and how obscenely high it must be at 10 psi of boost with stock injectors. you can upgrade your fuel pump all you want, it doesnt increase the rate of the injector. i am very suprised he isnt running dangerously lean with 4 cracked injectors.

bobin' and weavin' in traffic. No other place i'd rather be emoji.
