Okay as some of you know that my Gf might be buying a spyder GST. My question is that how come the engine make this loud ticking sound when at idle. I know it's not the injectors because I know how they sound. So what can it be??? valves?
what do you guys think? the thing sounds like a tractor.
Oh by the way, the stock t-25 sucked big ass on the top end. it does spool hella quick. I'll be looking forward to buying the NER kit for mine. thanx guys...!

Ball Bearing Star Stage II

I use to have a White 99 GS Sport with a Star Stage II Ball Bearing T3/T4 turbo...it was fun untill....well those who remember me know Oh Ya...this is what I have now... a 99' GSX...

Most 4g63's sound like that, it's just lifter tick. An oil change will quiet it down some.

but what causes the lifter tick??? bad oil?

No clue, they just all seem to do it. Try searching for it on DSM talk. I've read things like type of oil or oil filter.

When I switched to Synthetic oil (5W 30) I had a ticking at idle. I put in 10w 30 and the noise stopped, try a thicker oil for ahwile.
