I'm going to need a new clutch soon and in preparation for my rebuild some day I wanted a Clutchmaster. I know the stage 3 is recommded but would stage 2 hold up for a 10psi 420A once I'm rebuilt? I'm just trying to go the cheapest yet most effective route. Thanks.

Stage 2 is almost like stock. I believe it will hold up for a while. Since you'll have a rebuilt internal, you'll probably want to turn the boost at some point. If you could wait a little longer, save up to get at least a stage 3 and/or switch to a non-modular clutch setup.

Stage 4 clutches... yum. Need me one of those... well, I also want a built bottom end, but I'm going to take my chances for a while. Maybe I'll just run 8 psi. I'm thinking that with bigger injectors, 10 psi would be safe as long as I really tune it good, but who knows. I will be intercooled though. We'll see how it goes.

When I bought my Stage 3 clutch from CM, the Stage 1 (little better than stock) was around $500 The Stage 2 and 3 were both the same price ($750) and the Stage 4 was $685. Go for the Stage 4.

a stage 2 will not hold 10 psi for long,

I can build you a clutch that feels like stock and will hold 10psi,
for cheaper then clutch masters can sell u one.

Bill

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.
