Did a compression check today at work. Very sad. 140, 100, 60, 145. There was tons of oil in the 2nd cylinder. I think it was just draining from the head though.

On a bighter note, I will be installing a set of JE or Wiseco lo-comp pistons in the next week or so. I will be using the stock rods becuse thats all I can afford right now. I will also be installing my cams, springs and retainers.

you just got your car up and running right?

did you detonate, what happened?

can you give us more details.

New Car:
2004 350z base, Nismo CAI, pioneer avic-n1 (dvd, cd, navi)



Old Car:
1998 GS with hrc stage 2, HID 6000k conversion kit, AEM UEGO wideband, sfmu, ml, prokits, Greddy warning gauges: egt, boost gauge, and oil pressure, apexi tt, haydans tranny cooler, costum dp, groundwires, dynotune fp gauge. gst muff, turbo spoiler
Boostin since Aug 03.

nothing like driving with the windows down and the music low: i love hearing the turbo spool, swwwhhhttt!!!!

Go ahead and have your stock rods shot-peened if your gonna re-use em, shouldnt cost much at all and will help strengthen them a bit

UMM. . . So I guess datalogging it is outta the question. I think you might have had a pre existing condition that caused it to give so quick.

Place your bets!! I say cracked piston ring lands.. Sorry to hear bro, but if there is ANY way to get soem Eagle rods, i say go for it. You may be sorry later down the road. I know how the money issue is though emoji
